In many ways, our story began generations ago.
Our family settled in “Old Bourbon County” in 1790, just before Kentucky’s statehood. Our forebears lived an agrarian life, raising tobacco and livestock outside of Maysville, Kentucky.
By the middle of the 20th century, Maysville had established itself as the second largest burley tobacco market in the world. Home to over 50 tobacco warehouses, Maysville was famously commemorated by the local radio station WFTM: “World’s Finest Tobacco Market.” Located in “Tobacco Square,” legend would say that the call letters were acquired from a Buffalo, New York police station in a trade for a Kentucky ham and chew of tobacco.
Today, we are proud that same parcel of land is still owned and operated by our family. While our agricultural pursuits have shifted over time, we cherish the cultural impact tobacco production had for so many families across the Bluegrass.
In this spirit, we are proud to offer tobacco finished furniture, panels and gifts to our friends and neighbors throughout the Bluegrass. Click to learn more about our production partner, Artisan Leaf.
